Sunday, June 12, 2022

2–3:30 pm

Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor

For the final full concert of the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra's 2021–22 season, enjoy a program of iconic Viennese music. Assistant Conductor Andy Bhasin opens the performance with Johann Strauss's Emperor Waltzes, a work that will have the audience eager to dance. Artistic Director Nick Armstrong then leads the orchestra through Gustav Mahler's immense and satisfying First Symphony, aptly called the Titan.

Program:

  • Johann Strauss II, Emperor Waltzes
  • Gustav Mahler, Symphony no. 1 in D Major

Tickets are available through the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra. Advance tickets are $20 ($15 for seniors); same-day tickets are $25 at the door. Tickets for Museum Members are $15. Free for guests aged 16 and under.
