Join BkM Teens for a variety of free art and activist events by and for teens. We offer programs and opportunities to connect year-round, all free and geared toward young people ages 14–22. For the most up-to-date information, follow us on Instagram.
Note: All programs will take place in person; as you plan your visit, view our latest health and safety guidelines.
Teen Nights 2023 | Monthly on Fridays, 5–7:30 pm
Inspired by our special exhibitions and planned by the Teen Night Planning Committee, Teen Nights are free, large-scale arts events grounded in art and activism. In June, celebrate all things Pride with our tenth annual LGBTQ+ Teen Night, planned by InterseXtions: Gender & Sexuality members.
OPPORTUNITY TO PERFORM
Are you a musician, poet, singer, or other performing artist? We’re always looking for talented young people interested in performing during one of our teen public programs, such as Teen Night. Interested? Submit a proposal!
Real talk—museums can look and feel unwelcoming to young people, especially young people of color. Over the years, BkM Teens have created resources to help make looking at art, talking about art, and being in museums more accessible for people of all ages, classes, races, abilities, and languages. Brooklyn Museum is our museum. To explore some of these topics on your own, or with friends, check out these resources created by and for teens:
