CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Dark grey-black steatite head from an Amun statuette. Feathers and disc missing from crown but there is a transverse groove to recieve them-probably originally of another material. He also wears a straight beard which at present is short and ends in a straight tip (possibly missing part at end). Ears are large and set at level of eyes. Brows are natural - upper eyelids rimmed with short cosmetic lines. Eyes buldge; nose fairly straight and broad at nostrils; lips full. Facial modelling actually rather poor.
Condition: Numerous shallow pock marks over surface and scratches on top of crown.
