"CUR" at the beginning of an image file name means that the image was created by a curatorial staff member. These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
Electric desk lamp of chromium and metal shade enameled orange. Flat, rectangular base lined on underside with black felt; tubular stem with gray plastic terminal at top rises straight up from top of base at back; stem passes through thicker tubular cross bracket. At one end of cross bracket is a black plastic knob to adjust position of shade (it slides up and down stem & swivels from side-to-side); other end passes through side of shade and forms socket for bulb. Shade is drum-shaped with solid, flat top and open on bottom, has row of rectangular vents cut into side around top edge; inside has domed, white enamel steel liner. White electric cord extends from bracket down stem through one half of black plastic figure "8" piece (other half attached to stem at bottom); cord has rocker switch and terminates in two-pronged plug.
CONDITION: Minor scratches, otherwise excellent.
