    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Carved from a single piece of wood. Consists of two pieces (old break); a concave neckrest and a flat rectangular base beneath an upright rectangular support. Neckrest has a hole at center where core wood is missing. Support carved with rectangular patterning on long sides. An undecorated handle in the shape of a horn projects horizontally from one short side of support. CONDITION: Flat semi-circular top element completely broken off. Extensive surface dirt overall. Very worn, cracked, weathered, possible insect damage, chipped, stains, some blackened areas (fire?).
