CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Massive black lacquer cabinet with three doors standing on chrome-plated ball feet and black lacquer platform. Cabinet divided by 3 large upright doors with small (less than 5.5 inch diameter) octagonal bosses at center of each door. Each boss is unique, all are framed in chrome-plated metal and features a roughly square cast gilt metal aquatic relief with two fish and aquatic plants. Each door has small unobtrusive chrome-plated hinges at top and bottom corners of one side and a small keyhole in the center near edge opposite the hinged side. The three doors are slightly convex, cabinet otherwise is rectilinear. The top of the cabinet has conforming scalloped molding approximately 1.5 inches high inset a few inches from the front and side edges. Cabinet stands on 4 small chrome-plated metal ball feet in front (1 at each front corner, 1 at juncture between each door) and 2 short black lacquer legs at back. The feet and legs rest on a rectangular black lacquer platform that extends slightly beyond cabinet in the front and on the sides. Back of the cabinet is fine-grained unfinished wood. Condition: Very good. One section of lacquer on proper left side at top dull, not reflective as rest of lacquer. Seems to have been refinished.
