"CUR" at the beginning of an image file name means that the image was created by a curatorial staff member. These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
Table lamp composed of stepped, turned metal base, and decorated with uncolored, painted and brass-inlaid narrow, horizontal bands. Surmounted at the top by a shade composed of six horizontal discs, separated from one another by metal rods; a circular frosted-glass shade is inserted into the middle of the discs.
CONDITION: Metal is in need of conservation. Surface is oxidizing and in need of cleaning. Many small scratches throughout. Electrical housing is rusty inside and may need replacement. Some minor dents to band that protrudes from center of base, most noticeably just above highest red area. All brass surfaces worn. Numerous dents to outside edges of metal discs at top; considerable surface wear to metal rods separating them.
