"CUR" at the beginning of an image file name means that the image was created by a curatorial staff member. These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
Rectangular flat hot plate with chamfered corners. Front design impressed with central scene depicting Brooklyn Bridge waterfront and seven surrounding figures set into
textured background. Additional figures clockwise from top: Administration Building (labeled "ADMINISTRATION BLDG" below image), ocean liner, U.S. Steel Building
(labeled "U.S. STEEL BLDG" below image), motorcars, railway car, Hall of Communications (labeled "HALL OF COMMUNICATIONS" below image), airplane. At bottom center, large scroll reading "NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR". Slightly raised undecorated outer edge wraps to back and is secured by brown cardboard backing of the same shape.
Condition: Good original. Loss to metallic surface and denting to outer edging, scratching, light chipping and tarnishing throughout.
