"CUR" at the beginning of an image file name means that the image was created by a curatorial staff member. These study images may be digital point-and-shoot photographs, when we don\'t yet have high-quality studio photography, or they may be scans of older negatives, slides, or photographic prints, providing historical documentation of the object.
Plaque in shape of large shallow bowl with hammered interior surface and applied castings of birds in a tree. This sculptural group consists of a curving branch with leaves and blossoms, a small nest with bird along the bottom edge, and another bird with outstretched wings perched above; attached with screws to plaque. Plaque intended to be hung on wall.
Condition: Good; there appear to be two repaired (soldered) breaks on branches; some scratches around interior of bowl; missing screw on back.
