    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Lower part of alabaster statue of a woman probably a queen or goddess. The figure is seated on a conventional stone throne elaborately decorated. The base is decorated with a series of hieroglyphs meaning “all life and wealth”. In front the throne has the two Goddesses, Merty of Upper and Lower Egypt. On the sides the Genii of the Nile of both Upper and Lower Egypt kneel in front of the sign of union. At the back the protecting Solar Hawk is supported by two kneeling Kings. Condition: The upper part of statue is missing, the right knee is badly chipped together with right foot. The entire surface has been considerably weathered and is chipped in several places.
