This case of Tiffany objects is like THE Tiffany; the one who makes the silver jewelry today?

Not quite, but close! The glass company was founded by Louis Comfort Tiffany, son of Charles Lewis Tiffany who founded the silver company that has its headquarters on 5th Avenue today.

This tiny vase was made by Tiffany Studios whose work around the year 1900 combined the ideals of the Arts and Crafts Movement, valuing handmade objects with an emphasis on beauty. As you'll notice with this example, Tiffany looked to nature as the primary source of design. This object is made of Favrile glass, which blended different colors of glass together in their molten state. This technique also produced the iridescent finish.
