Catalogue Description:
Terracotta figure of the god Bes. Bes is represented as a warrior holding a sword and shield. Atop the feathers of his crown are two eyelets for suspension. The piece is hollow, made in two halves: front and rear. The rear is not modeled. Condition: Lower legs missing. Piece missing from rear below circular mold hole. Mold line evident up side and is weak at some points. Edges crudely smoothed over.
