Catalogue Description: Cobalt blue glazed composition plaque. The color was probably intended to imitate lapis lazuli. The plaque is rectangular in shape. On one side is a representation of a "wadjet" eye; on the opposite side is a representation of Bes. The technique used for the representations is incised line drawing. There is a hole at each end of the piece but the two apertures are not connected. The holes, may, therefore be modern. Condition: Surface bearing the representation of the eye is rough and incrusted.
