Catalogue Description: The project consists of a Hello Kitty Pez dispenser (e), a stereoscope (a), and three print portfolios (b-d): I A folding panorama announces the geographical site and its surroundings. A trail winding up a mountainside leads to a passageway. II A series of views depicts the interior spaces of the chambers. These pictures present a space that is at once a ruin and a preserve. III The third portfolio shows artifacts recovered from the chambers. Individual objects first glimpsed in the second portfolio are shown again, but restored, isolated, and transformed into autonomous entities. Printed as four-color offset lithographs, the twenty five prints of the project are all stereoscopic ("3/D") image pairs. The images are designed to be viewed through a freestanding stereoscope, provided with each copy of the edition.
