Catalogue Description:
Combination of thrown and applied construction. A simple thrown vase with slightly tapering body and footed base has been cut in half, leaving gaping "wounds" of a Vee-shape extending from top to base; "wounds have been colored in hues of purple, green, brown and black. Above rim are lop-sided and bend segments of other vases, one slapped on top of the other; washed over with glazes, mostly of greenish hue. Circular neck; relatively small aperture. Base of vase is pinched and drooping; rests on square irregularly shaped plinth with finger marks. COBDITION - Excellent.
